Let me tell you a little bit about my history with bun making. It was rough. I tried multiple recipes, attempted using bread machines, different mixers, etc.. and my buns always all ended up either super flat or really dense.
That is, until my Mom shared a recipe she had used a few times out of one of her old cookbooks! Since I got my hands on this recipe (around 9 years ago now), I am proud to say my buns have never turned out dense or flat. In fact, I am the “bun maker” in both my family & Davin’s, which basically just means I am asked to bring homemade buns to every family gathering we have lol.

I actually am disappointed in myself for not passing this recipe along to you all sooner! lol I share it with all of my friends and family, but for some reason it hasn’t ended up on my blog before. Ooops! However, now seems like the perfect time to share it with you while we are all stuck inside trying to make the best of Covid19!
So without further adieu… here is my recipe for 2 hr (yes, you read that right – it only takes 2 hours to make these!!) homemade buns. You’re welcome. ** I always baste mine with melted butter and sprinkle sugar on the top right after they come out of the oven! 🙂

I use this recipe for cinnamon buns and pizza dough as well! Be sure to tag me if you test out the recipe – or just invite me over for dinner. I would love either! lolol.
