Staying Stylish with Carry Maternity
One of the biggest questions every momma-to-be asks herself at least once during pregnancy: Where in the heck can I find stylish, yet functional maternity wear?! During this pregnancy, I was able to partner with a Canadian boutique named Carry Maternity who helped me keep the vow I made to myself: I will not sacrifice my personal style while pregnant with baby #2!
Finding cute maternity wear can sometimes feel almost impossible, but the gals at Carry Maternity offer brands such as Isabella Oliver, Spanx, Rails Clothing, Queen Mum, and their very own clothing line titled “Carry” that really allowed me to stay trendy while keeping the little turkey in my belly comfortable.
Here are the items I received from them and how I styled them throughout a 5 month time period:
Scoop Alma Turtleneck (no longer available) – Ahh I am so sad this is out of stock! I love this turtleneck – the material is really nice and thick, the colour is a gorgeous neutral that pairs nicely with practically everything, and the scoop hem detail is so flattering for both during and after pregnancy!
Queen Mum Jeans – If you watch my Instagram stories, you may have heard me rave about these jeans already! They were literally the only pair of maternity jeans I wore throughout my pregnancy this time. I loved the wash, the full panel, and that they had a little bit of stretch but not enough that you had a saggy bum and they felt like they could fall off by the end of the day (you all know the cheap kind of maternity jeans I’m talking about!).
Carry Camo Pullover – Another sweater I absolutely adored – it’s trendy, versatile, and you could totally wear this post baby as well. It is well-made and not super thick which I appreciated in the fall!
Spanx Jean-ish Leggings – You all know how much I love my Spanx Faux Leather Leggings (which Carry Maternity also has available on their site!) so I was really excited to try out the jean-ish leggings. They definitely have nice structure and fit more like a jean than a legging in my opinion. I would size up if you’re looking at getting these, as I found my regular size large to be a little bit too snug during my last trimester of pregnancy.
Carry Velour Sweatshirt & Sweatpants – I mean… is there anything better than feeling like you’re wearing pjs but still looking trendy?! This sweatsuit is my JAM. I’ve been wearing it around the house and to playdates/Violet’s dance lessons regularly! I’m sure it’ll continue to be a staple in my wardrobe after the new babe arrives.
Isabella Oliver Leggings – Leggings are most definitely a wardrobe staple for any pregnant woman! I forgot how uncomfortable it can be to wear pants regularly while pregnant, and if you’re preggo during the winter months sometimes dresses just aren’t an option. Enter: a great pair of maternity leggings. You can thank me later for sharing these beauties with you – they are the best!Carry V-Neck Dress – Every pregnant woman needs a LBD at some point in their 9 month journey, and this one is a great option! It is super comfortable, versatile, and a good length (I am 5’9 for reference). I opted to style this dress more on the casual side, but you could easily dress it up with some faux fur, a structured blazer, or some fun jewelry!
