Popcorn Stitch Sweater, Neckerchief, & Mint Pants
I don’t wear sweaters all that often in the summer time just due to the obvious reason that it’s too freakin hot to be wearing a sweater! However, the popcorn stitch sweater that I bought a couple seasons back at Old Navy, has tiny little holes through it that lets the breeze in. So the odd time I’ll throw it on during a cooler summer evening! I particularly love the tan/nude colour that my sweater is so I found some similar ones for you here, here and here. Such a versatile colour that looks fab with literally every other colour – including mint like my jeans! I bought mine on sale at J. Crew, but here and here are super similar ones.
In my opinion, what makes this outfit unique is adding a neckerchief. Seriously you guys – I’m SO obsessed with the neck scarf trend!!! It adds character to an outfit and also gives off a 50’s type vibe… you know what I mean?! Visualize yourself driving in an old convertible (that has no air conditioner), wind blowing in your hair (that was curled by hot rollers), neck scarf blowing in the wind….can you see it?! hahah LOVE it. I bought mine from a store in Moose Jaw called Rings & Things (you can find an almost identical one here), but I’m also really diggin’ this, this and this one. The lace up sandals I’m wearing are these ones – definitely in the top 3 of comfy (and cute!) sandals I own.
What do you guys think of the neckerchief trend?! Please tell me I am not alone in my obsession!!
